Alison P. Toth, MD

Dr. Toth received her undergraduate degree from Yale University in 1990, and completed medical school at Duke University School of Medicine in 1994. Her orthopaedic surgery residency training was at Duke University Medical Center from 1994-2000. She obtained her fellowship training in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City in 2000-2001. She was an assistant team physician for the New York Giants in 2000-2001.
 
Dr. Toth specializes in sports medicine with a focus on ACL and multi-ligament knee reconstruction, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, shoulder impingement and instability, rotator cuff tears, articular cartilage healing and repair; meniscus healing and repair; patellofemoral pain, women's sports injuries and prevention, and cell and molecular biology approaches to the treatment of musculoskeletal injury.
 
Dr. Toth's elbow interests:
1) Lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow)
2) Medial epicondylitis
3) Torn ulnar (medial) collateral ligament for "Tommy John" reconstruction procedure
4) Torn distal biceps tendon
5) Torn triceps tendon
