Duke Sports Medicine & Shoulder Fellowship

 

Application Requirements

The Duke Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery Fellowship is one year in length, from August 1 through July 31, under the direction of Dean C. Taylor, M.D.  This fellowship is ACGME accredited, program number 2683631091 for 3 positions.
 
We are now accepting applications for academic year August 1, 2010 through July 31, 2011
 
Applicants must provide proof that they have taken and passed all three steps of appropriate medical licensure examinations (USMLE/COMLEX, or equivalent Canadian examinations, etc.).  This policy applies to all graduate medical trainees whether United States or International Medical School graduates.  For information regarding the United States of Medical Licensing Examination, please visit their web site http://www.usmle.org/.  Foreign medical graduates must hold a valid and current ECFMG certificate (http://www.ecfmg.org/) and be eligible to obtain a medical license in North Carolina.  Certificate MUST be valid as of the start date of the program.  For medical graduates of LCME-accredited schools in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico, copies of the diploma will suffice.  Duke Orthopaedics sponsors J-1 visa's only (clinical house staff) for foreign medical graduates.

    • Copies of all USMLE/COMLEX/or equivalent Canadian examinations
    • Medical School Transcript 
    • ECFMG Certificate (current and valid) for foreign medical graduates (We sponsor J-1 Visa's Only)
    • Deadline for receipt of application materials is November 15, 2008.
 
Fellow applicants are selected for interview as listed under our Criteria for Selection of Fellows.  Completed applications will be reviewed and applicants selected for interview will be notified by mail or telephone.
